As of 01.10.2012, few updates for SA Rankings have been implemented :
- New Bonus points formula for TMC events : Event points X [ 2 IF SURVIVED (0 if not) + 2 if own side wins (0 if not) ]. This will encourage teamwork more than ever before and will make total sense as the ultimate goal of such force on force event is help own team win the battle rather than every pilot going after own kills and points. However, don’t be mistaken as pilot efficiency at actually destroying targets and scoring points will still be very much needed and rewarded through SA main points. Nevertheless bonus points will be awarded in addition to main points to those who survive the mission while achieving team victory.
- OCL event type has been canceled as the only provider of such kind of MP activity was Team Combat League
, and it does not exist anymore. It may be reconsidered again for SA Rankings in the future if it comes back online either by previous TCL owner or by someone else. - To make things simple, STT events and STL events will merge together to create STTL events (Short Term Tournament / League).
- As a result of such updates, the quota for SA Rankings countable events will also be edited as below:
– OPS : best 7 results during last 12 months
– TMC : best 7 results duing last 12 months
– STTL : best 5 results during last 12 months
– ASAR : Best result during last 12 months
