SA To Feature ED’s Fighting Legends PvP Event
We are happy to finally witness Eagle Dynamics (DCS developers) organizing their first official PvP competition. This means that ED is taking note of the growing interest in competitive PvP shown in the recent years by the community.
This may just be an early yet important step towards making DCS a more popular game in the e-sport industry and why not after a few years turning it into a powerhouse comparable to the likes of League of Legends, CS:GO and other giants of the e-sport industry.
http://smile-pilots.ru/, a well-established virtual squadron from Russia have been designated by ED as managers of this tournament. We have gone through the details of this competition and read all the rules and we can confirm that this will be very PvP oriented much like our internally hosted Top Gun Round R2 BFM competition. The only exception is that it will be about dogfights between legacy Mig-15’s and F-86’s fighters while Top Gun R2 features modern-era F-15C and Su-27 air superiority fighters.
We are also happy and keen to support top-notch competitions like the Fighting Legends so we have decided to feature it for the SA air-to-air rankings alongside the Top Gun R2 tournament; this is our way to support this great initiative and promote PvP further more down the line. SA points will then be awarded to the top 16 performers in FLE (Fighting Legends Event) according to our ranking system guidelines. There are also decent cash prizes for the top 3 pilots:
I Place – $400.00
II Place – $250.00
III Place – $150.00
Over 70 pilots have signed up so far for FLE with a kick off date set for Saturday 14th, so not much time left we believe before registration stops. More news and coverage from SA as this competition kicks off so we can keep you aware of how the tournament unfolds, stay tuned!
