In response to pertinent feedback from the community, an update has been decided and put in place to deal better with the specificity of official public server events (O.P.S).

Unlike all other types of MP events, OPS’s allow pilots to perform as long as desired, leaving those with limited spare time to fly on a disadvantage and forced to face an unfair challenge to keep up the pace with those who fly much more.
SA Rankings aims at rating pilot’s skill and proficiency (not flight hours) as accurately as possible, has therefore decided to update the main points breakdown as below :

As you can see, point gaps between server’s standings have been reduced significantly.
This will minimize the effect of flight hours advantage, while at the same time will preserve, as usual, the server’s original standings.

On the other hand, the leverage for bonus points has not been edited and remains the same to ensure a significant advantage to performers with high K/D and Landing/Takeoff Ratios.

Such an update will allow pilots with high ratios to earn more points than before and eventually outrank those who lead scoreboards mainly because of extended flight hours.

This update has no retrospective effect and will be applied for OPS events only as from September 2012. Other structures remain connected to original SA points breakdown.
